Dr. R. Michael Ramagos, MD,

Medical Director, Family Medicine, New Roads

Growing up in South Louisiana, Dr. Ramagos received his bachelor’s degree from Southeastern Louisiana University, master’s degree from Louisiana State University and his medical degree from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans. He went on to complete his residency at LSU Health Sciences Center, Lafayette, training in family medicine. Dr. Ramagos joined Arbor Family Health as medical director in 2017 and primarily sees patients at our New Roads location.

Dr. Ramagos is a member of the American Academy of Family Medicine and board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. As a family medicine physician, he provides continuing and comprehensive medical care, health maintenance and preventative services to every member of the family regardless of gender, age or type of problem, be it biological, behavioral or social.

In his free time, Dr. Ramagos enjoys playing guitar, hunting and fishing. He also spends as much time as possible with his wife, Blair, and two girls, Lindley and Lyla.
